Quick impression -- it would really help to somehow have more of each player's particulars (speed, power, contact etc.) show up on the basic roster sheet. With the limited amount available now, it's very hard to compare the players you've got without constantly clicking back and forth, writing numbers down etc. Since we're dealing with fictional players, there's no base of knowledge to start from, so it takes a lot of mental processing to gauge a team's strengths and weaknesses, your best speed and power guys, best lineup, platoon necessities etc. If those numbers were all presented on the basic sheet, you could quickly do some comparisons.December 14, 2001 at 09:48PM View BBCode
putting the lineup together was a bit of a pain - in the end I just did it sort of randomlyDecember 15, 2001 at 04:31AM View BBCode
Yep, it's not very simple to put together your lineup. Every players stats and skills is a must IMO.December 15, 2001 at 05:32AM View BBCode
It is hard to determine lineups and also hard to determine who to trade/place on waivers/pick up from waivers. There appears to be enough room on the roster screens for additional columns. Another nice feature would be printable rosters and player stats.December 15, 2001 at 09:24PM View BBCode
I hear you, loud and clear. Its not that difficult to set up.... I'll see what I can do this week about this, providing more information about players on all pages.December 27, 2001 at 06:58PM View BBCode
Another thought along these lines -- the roster page for the hitters includes their total rank, but for pitchers it does not. Again, a helpful column for quick reference, and I presume reasonably easy to add.January 07, 2002 at 08:53PM View BBCode
I have to agree with the other posts that commented on the difficult roster interface. Most folks are probably used to, as I am, a single web page that has all of your teams players with some of their rudimentary stats that will allow you to determine who to play and who to bench.January 08, 2002 at 02:23AM View BBCode
I would definetly combine the lefty and righty batting splits into a single page

I know when its especially difficult, when you are making adjustments to between your major and minor league teams, right? What if I put something on there that would show if they are a starter, would that help some?January 09, 2002 at 06:41PM View BBCode
The issue would then be, "what constitutes a starter?" The real challenge is getting all the information one would need to make daily roster decisions - the backside, or downside would be that the user interface is so unfriendly that folks give up after a week or two....January 09, 2002 at 08:08PM View BBCode
Another roster sheet glitch -- I don't recall if this was the case before, but when calling up my roster to set a lineup vs. lefties, the ratings that come up are vs. righties (same as when setting the lineup vs. righties). Would seem appropriate to at least have the relevant ones for the pitcher in question available at a glance.January 09, 2002 at 08:10PM View BBCode
Amendment to that last message. It appears that the ratings are correct -- but the headings are wrong, reading Contact vs. R and Power vs. R.January 10, 2002 at 06:04AM View BBCode
HC - thanks I fixed this.Pages: 1
