If you have UTUd me about starting a league and don't see your name here, and I didn't explicitly tell you "no", that probably means I just lost track of your name on my list, please send the request again.
Here is what we decided. Since so many qualified people want to start leagues, I suspect some people may be interested because of the free team. So to weed some people out, plese let me know if you'd be willing to pay $40 for your team in a UTU (or if not $40, how much you would). This way I can get the people who are most excited to really be the commish at the top of the list, and those that are excited about the free team at the bottom of the list.

I've decided that we'll contine to try to fill Swerve's league, but I'm not going to hold up other leagues from starting since there is quite a different in the leagues.
The up to date list, sorted alphabetically is:

The next league will have Jack1 as the commissioner and be called the Johnny Callison league. I'm not going to give an explanation every time I choose the next commish, but if you're in 15 different pay leagues its tough for me to justify passing you over.:D

i think if there is a tie first come first serve should be the deciding factor. ive been waiting longer than most on the list. also those who have a custom league already maybe should wait as they have the privlege of running a league. just an idea.

Well you don't have to worry about me. I'll be gone all of Thanksgiving week, so I don't see any reason for it to be my turn until the first week of December. Should get one more league in by then, anyway--maybe two. But I'm patient :)

I was thinking today it would be cool if a panel of the existing commishes decided who gets in next. Would beat the vote by a panel of one (me).
jigakoeochiro - I used to do first come, first serve but that caused us to end up with some really questionable commishes just because they happened to ask first. How long ago you asked is a factor, but not anywhere close to being an important factor. We had a situation where one league seemed to take a month to fill b/c nobody wanted to play in his league.
We're making our way through the list, here is who is on it:

yourt panel of judges sounds great, but there is a bit of a problem with it. The commishes don't have acces to the info you have, and also they don't always know who the people are, like me for example, i am not in a ton of leagues, and am not a extremly active poster, so i might not be known to the commishes, and they might vote in someone less worth beasue they know them. It is a great idea though and maybe with some fine tunning it would work, also you might develop a little question sheet want to be commishes have to answer before being considered, this would allow you to see what they woudl do with their league and stuff like that, like a job resume. Also you could ask them for a listr of people you could ask about how good a commish they would make(references) this way you would still be including others in teh process.Just my 2 and a half cents
