Doesn't it all sort of depend on how much HGH he decides to use this year?March 19, 2007 at 03:12PM View BBCode
help me out horse. are you saying he was going to hit 25 home runs in those 19 games he missed?March 19, 2007 at 03:18PM View BBCode

With Edmonds deteriorating, Rolen aging, they'd better get some bats in the lineup to protect the guy, or the Bonds record he might challenge won't be HR, but IBB. I mean seriously, why would you pitch to Pujuls if they've got Juan Encarnacion or Scott Spiezio hitting behind him?March 19, 2007 at 03:25PM View BBCode
No, he won't hit 73 or more this year. And no, he would not have hit 25 in 19 games. His totals are rising every year, but they're not gonna rise this much, this year. He is a hell of a player and there is no question he could hit 73, but I don't think this will be the year.March 19, 2007 at 03:26PM View BBCode
I personally don't recognize Barry Bonds' 73 a record anyway. He is a fucking fraud, and a disgrace to the game!March 19, 2007 at 03:37PM View BBCode

he just seems to nice of a guy that has a true passion for the game and the history of the game.March 19, 2007 at 04:15PM View BBCode
Actually, most of the stories about him that aren't fawning puff pieces say that he's sullen, moody and a bit of a dick.March 19, 2007 at 05:22PM View BBCode
I might be bias, and I realize this will be only his 2nd full season, but this could be the future Homerun king. True story.March 19, 2007 at 05:58PM View BBCode
OH my god? Albert is way to nice to do roids....I mean HGH..but for enough money to make sure my grandkids don't ever have to be janitors I guess no matter how nice you are cheating is a great idea just ask Gary Mathews jr.March 19, 2007 at 06:09PM View BBCode

And we'll go around again. Nothing changes but the names.

Honestly, I'm about 85% convinced that Pujols uses something unnatural. But I guess it's possible that he doesn't - my point was simply to say that Pujols gets a pass for reasons that are completely unclear to me. Sosa has been crucified after the fact for pretty much the same evidence that people are using to laud Pujols. It just goes to show that this whole steroids mess isn't so much about the negative effects on kids so much as it's about 1) home run records and all the transcendent numerology bullshit and 2) what goes up, must come down. Fans and media people haven't really changed their perspective on performance enhancing drugs, they've simply decided to pick a few convenient scapegoats and pretend that everyone else is clean.March 19, 2007 at 06:32PM View BBCode
i always kind of liked sammy myself. i even had fun watching him play over here for the orioles. i went to the games to see him in person, sure.March 19, 2007 at 06:38PM View BBCode
Sammy was a bystander of the whole Mark Mcguire scandal, made worse by "Big headed" Barry Bonds.
