and good luck to all 4 teams in the playoffs. Good to see a bunch of old Funksters in the post season this year.
I'll be rooting for STL & WAS for that reason.
The Scorpions accomplished a lot of things this season, despite a 14-148 record the management is happy with player development, especially in hitting, and hope that a good draft year will bring 2-3 new ML quality players to the roster.
Team MVP Hugh Pasley had excellent numbers considering how poor the team did, hitting a team leading .262 with 21 HR, 67 RBI, 82 Runs and 35 SB's from the lead-off spot in the order while also playing a solid CF with only 4 errors.
No real highlights in the pitching department, other than the fact that a lot of kids got some good innings of experience. Next year's Scorpions will look to double their win total and crack the 30 win mark!

Ughh, what a terrible way to lose the ALCS. My closer comes in for the bottom of the 9th in the 7th game up by 1, gets the first two guys out, gives up two hits (including the tying run) and then he gets pulled. The next guy comes in and gives up a two run homer to blow the game. I feel like the Red Sox right now.

that was fun to watch, but painful for Washington no doubt.

That's twice now in recent years that I've posted a note about wanting to rebuild, never got enough offers to make it worth doing, and now it ends up with a last World Series title. This team just didn't want to break up without a fight.
That said, I really DO want to break it up now, so feel free to send offers along for anyone on the roster.

A rematch of last year's World Series had the the New York Knights, winners of last years contest, significantly over-matched this time around. The Steamroller are a well-rounded team with a couple of seemling unstopable threats in their ranks. Amazing that they swept the Ravioli, who combined an elite pitching staff (498 runs allowed over the season, good for a 2.98 ERA) with an absolute juggernaut of an offense (939 runs scored, .829 team OPS, over 100 points higher than the Steamroller, the next best offense). With the Steamroller going into a rebuilding phase, the young, great Ravioli should dominate the NL for years.
