I actually like MLB with the Expos. Sure they need to sell the team to a real owner, but instead to folding they have been creative in trying to revive intrest in the team, so they get a C or C-, mostly for letting Vlad go. I blame Loria for the team being bad as long as it has before...December 10, 2003 at 04:01PM View BBCode
2 things, first Bud selig doesnt own the brewers, he officially sold it to his daughter or something. second, MLB owning a team is like the government buying a company. this government will ineveitably have way too much politics involved when picking the place for the next team, and if they had left it up to the market to decide who got the team it wouldve gone to DC a while agoDecember 10, 2003 at 04:10PM View BBCode
the split schedule and not moving the team yet makes MLB the worst owner.December 10, 2003 at 04:12PM View BBCode
if they were in DC, Vlad would still be there, and probably nomar would be going to DC.December 10, 2003 at 04:16PM View BBCode
DC is the obvious choice, and I blame Angelos for the fact it has yet to happen.December 10, 2003 at 04:20PM View BBCode
and PR is in america. that blows that entire argument for you.December 10, 2003 at 04:26PM View BBCode

Steve Schott.... He won't pony up any money that everybody knows he has to re-sign guys who have been in the A's orgnization for years.... Giambi and Tejada to name a few... soon to be Mulder, Hudson, Zito, and ChavezDecember 11, 2003 at 12:02AM View BBCode
let me put it this way, who are the best owners in the game? i would have to say 1. george steinbrenner and 2. john henry. those guys both wanna win and arent in it for a profit. and yea u could blame my steinbrenner argument on yankee bias but he always is trying to win.December 11, 2003 at 12:13AM View BBCode
As much as I wanted to say Tribune Company it is Angelos.December 11, 2003 at 03:08AM View formatted

Monterrey would work just as well, just as long as they are forward thinking about it. I don't think Washington is the right way to go, and Portland leaves me cold, South of the border just makes the most sense.December 11, 2003 at 05:28AM View BBCode
Seems it's a tight race between Tribune and Angelos, but where's the hate for Selig?December 11, 2003 at 05:13PM View BBCode
we have had the expos new location conversation before. i pointed out that the washington metropolitan area is the 4th largest market in america behind NY (2 teams) LA (essentially 2 teams) and Chicago (2 teams) that means the largest market that doesnt have 2 teams has NO teams. people say "hey no one ever went to the senators games" well that is not totally true, AND they NEVER had a good team. Mexico is a dumb choice. there isnt money there, just there is more money there. also, who wants to live in mexico?December 11, 2003 at 06:38PM View BBCode
i don't think angelos is the worst.December 11, 2003 at 07:30PM View BBCode
the tigers record should make them a unanimous choice, plus they can never re-sign anyone and cant get any decent free agents. they have screwed detroit.December 11, 2003 at 11:26PM View BBCode
And you know the worst thing about the Tigers? The owner of the tigers is the same owner of the Red Wings, one of the most successful franchises in sports, so you know that he could do something right if he wanted, sad...December 11, 2003 at 11:51PM View BBCode
