We had a bunch of new terms added to the American lexicon last year, most highly annoying, but which was the most annoying of all?January 02, 2004 at 07:05PM View BBCode
Shock and awe...so Hollywood. I can't stand it when war has a cool factor. Monkeypox is pretty annoying too.January 02, 2004 at 07:33PM View BBCode
It reffered to the tactic the US Military used in the opening stages of the war with Iraq. If you saw any of the coverage, the first bombing raids used these huge bombs that sent fireballs a hundred feet into the sky. They had film of it on TV the night the war started. The military reffered to it as "shock and awe," because the intention was to shock the Iraqi people into submission... They figured if they could prove, with big huge explosions, that they stood no chance, they'd roll over.January 02, 2004 at 07:52PM View BBCode
yea i dont like how they made that like a movie but bennifer is REALLY annoying. i mean the both have no talent but atleast j.lo is hot. ben is just gay and he's a redsox fan. more reason for me to hate him.January 02, 2004 at 07:56PM View BBCode
spider hole isnt a new one, it has been used for a while, i think that is what they called the hole that the veits had in the vietnamese war.January 02, 2004 at 08:00PM View BBCode
trans-fats reffers to trans-fatty acids, which are in foods (in saturated fat, I believe). I read an article in Newsweek about this last month...apparently they come from perservitives that are used in pre-packaged foods...Oreo's and such forth. Apparently they seriously clog your artaries, so there's been a healthy amount of press about them.January 02, 2004 at 08:01PM View BBCode
oh, ive heard about those a long time ago, it is just a shortening of a science word.January 02, 2004 at 08:02PM View BBCode
monkey pox?January 02, 2004 at 08:07PM View BBCode
Moneypox--a skin ailment people in the Midwest picked up from unusual pets, like Prarie Dogs...January 02, 2004 at 08:12PM View BBCode

oh yeah. i saw the south park episode on that. turns out the queer guys from queer eye for the straight guy are aliens. guys that gay just piss me off. my sister has some weird thing where whenever she sees something like "queer eye for the straight guy" or "special: guys who act REALLY GAY" or "MTV cribs of really gay guys" well im making most of them up, but anyway, whenever shee sees them, she cant change the channel. also she became friends with this gay guy at our school who is a total asshole/total pothead, and the only explaination she can give about why she is his friend is that he is gay.January 02, 2004 at 11:25PM View BBCode
What? Are gay people like status symbols for your sister? Weird...January 02, 2004 at 11:32PM View BBCode
i still say bennifer is the most annoying. both are extremely untalented. those flash mob things sound like something happy would do.January 02, 2004 at 11:50PM View BBCode
Bennifer is ignorant, and I do hope that someone *oops! ACCIDENTLY* drops napalm on the both of them.January 03, 2004 at 02:08AM View BBCode
fatty acids make up fats (they are the building blocks). i dont know what makes trans-fatty acids different from regular ones.January 03, 2004 at 03:39AM View BBCode
I'm not sure either, I never was interested enough to read the many (many) articles that were written about it over the year.January 03, 2004 at 03:43AM View BBCode
it doesnt make stuff taste good, it keeps stuff tasting good.January 03, 2004 at 03:47AM View BBCode
Well that is a good thing, right?January 03, 2004 at 04:56AM View BBCode
Not a good thing. Trans-fatty acids are what keep a five year old Twinkie soft. Now you've gotta figure, anything that can keep a Twinkie soft for five years is probably not designed to be ingested. Most likely, they're what's causing all the sudden heart attacks among baby boomers, who have consumed more trans-fats than anybody. Word to the wise: Eat junk food now, die of heart attack later.January 03, 2004 at 05:32AM View BBCode
im probabl gonna die of a heart attack anyways, both my grandfathers died of heart attacks.January 03, 2004 at 05:44AM View BBCode

You know, Bling-Bling was a candidate, but I heard it last year plenty, so I didn't think it belonged, but if it was here I'm sure it would get lots of votes.Pages: 1 2
