So, it's kind of unfuckingbelievable how that shot split the defender's stick and went in.(Almost x3.)

The time in the fight when the refs decide "alright, censored this" is always hilarious to me.(edit: fuckingdrew)

if the fight starts before both linesman arrive, it's two enforcers facing straight up, or it's obvious both guys are serious about it. they'll break it up when one or both guys goes down, one guy is clearly getting is ass handed to him or one guy signals it's done.

I wonder what Doug Wilson will do in the offseason with this team. If word gets out that he wants to break the team up (if he does), he will not get the value he wants. Assuming he keeps his job, this offseason will define his executive career. Otherwise he'll be just another guy that played without a helmet.
I'd trade Nabby and Joe Thornton, although my "success" at SD should explain how smart I'd be as the GM.
Yep, we love Drew Remenda (the color guy). He was an assistant the first few years for the Sharks (early '90s), and at least to us, he is impartial. When we have a free Center Ice preview, I flip around and sometimes think they pull these guys off the street. (The Blue Jackets' TV crew is especially bad.)
All I have left are the NBC games now. Who should I be rooting for? I hope Detroit/Anaheim goes 7 games and everyone pulls a groin. I guess Vancouver because they have Luongo. And in the East? Not the Rangers. My girlfriend wants to go to a game vs. the Sharks when Avery plays so she can boo him.
Only mention, BTW, on the front page of the San Jose Mercury News is a banner above the masthead with a tease to read about it in Sports. Typically these stories would start on page 1A.

i don't think trading thornton would be a wise move. you'll likely see marleau go before him. nabokov could certainly move, but it would require the sharks to find a goaltending upgrade via trade or free agency, which could be problematic. i'd guess cheechoo will be on the block as well, if they can find any takers.
