Did Luongo melt down, or did the defensemen not do their job? (I didn't watch the game.)May 12, 2009 at 07:02PM View BBCode
I didn't check in until late in the third, when it was 6-5 Chicago, so I really couldn't say.May 13, 2009 at 02:17AM View BBCode
luongo didn't play great, but there was a bad luck goal and a great play by kane as well.May 14, 2009 at 01:34AM View BBCode
sorry craig. it would have been better if they'd lost in OT. great series though.May 14, 2009 at 01:45PM View BBCode

What is Washington going to do in the offseason? Will Florida have to settle for second place in the Southeast? Why is Washington even in the Southeast?May 14, 2009 at 10:21PM View BBCode
This team could use some veteran presence that isn't awful (or, in the case of Chris Clark, injured all the time.) A second-line center, to replace the possibly-departing (and in any case, not that good) Sergei Fedorov. Kozlov will probably leave, so another right wing. And the team is constantly low on defensemen, so maybe one guy. That may just be Alzner from the Bears. This isn't a team that needs any sort of major overhaul, just a couple of tweaks.May 15, 2009 at 01:38PM View BBCode
you know who would realy help washington? jay boumeister. or the sedins, if they could find enough ice time to go around.May 16, 2009 at 03:06AM View BBCode

i don't think either one of them were suspendable, to be honest. if i'd been refereeing i doubt i'd even have given ovechkin a penalty.May 22, 2009 at 02:28AM View BBCode

They just did a lengthy interview with Gary Bettman during the intermission on CBC and goddammit that guy is the scum of the earth.June 03, 2009 at 02:15AM View BBCode
Honestly, I'd have had the same impression had the TV been on mute -- he just looks like a vile little beetle. But the host, whose name escapes me, really put the screws to him, and Bettman just resorted to slippery little half-answers and emitted a noxious order from his stink glands.June 03, 2009 at 02:26AM View BBCode
ron mclean. word is, bettman doesn't like him much. i don't get the impressions that bothers mclean a whole lot.June 03, 2009 at 02:27AM View BBCode
how are you getting the cbc feed, by the way? are you close enough to the border to get the vancouver station or are you online? i know you;ve said before that you prefer watching hockey on canadian tv and it never occurred to me to ask before.June 03, 2009 at 02:40AM View BBCode
CBC is part of the expanded basic cable package in Seattle. It must be a proximity-to-Vancouver thing.June 03, 2009 at 02:46AM View formatted

Where can I find reruns of Check It Out, starring Don Adams? That was the best CBC show ever.June 03, 2009 at 10:05PM View BBCode
They used to run "Forever Knight" reruns at, like, 2:30 in the morning on channel 20 in DC. I think that's the only Canadian show I've ever seen. It was pretty crappy.June 04, 2009 at 01:13AM View BBCode
