Yeah, comparing a reporter to a coworker really is a bad analogy. Just as the politician one was.February 26, 2009 at 02:14PM View BBCode
i think what furious is saying, and that i think we could all agree on, is that calhoun could have handled the situation with a little less volatility had he wished to do so. it would have certainly been less entertaining had he done that, but the option was there, and as a public figure he should have known that not taking it would result in some kind of fuss. although my opinion is that the 'reporter' gets the majority of the blame for the situation, the fact is that there were two people involved that could have moderated the situation and didn't. i don't see that calhoun was that out of line, but he absolutely could have moderated his response. as i said before, it looked like the other reporters were going to tell the guy off for him if he had just kept his cool for another 30 seconds or so.February 26, 2009 at 09:16PM View BBCode
ah, when I said real life I meant "some random censored on the street". Other than that I think we basically agree. Judges arent "supposed" to yell at lawyers, but they sure as hell do, on regular occasion I might ask. The lawyer censored up at their job and makes the judge's job harder? They are going to hear about it. This would be a good analogy to the reporter-basketball coach situation (no it wouldnt).February 26, 2009 at 09:28PM View BBCode

I still think you people are letting him off too easy. But it's not like I think he should be punished or anything. I just think he should be embarrassed. But he won't be, because Calhoun's an egomaniac and he likely thinks that not only did he do nothing wrong, but he didn't go far enough.February 26, 2009 at 09:36PM View BBCode

when she wears tony's football jersey, she looks quite skinny. especially when she wears it with the shoulder pads.February 26, 2009 at 09:54PM View BBCode
Those aren't shoulder pads, those are her big meaty ham hocks.February 26, 2009 at 09:58PM View BBCode
(I don't know what ham hocks are. They're her big fat jiggly arms is the point.)February 26, 2009 at 10:08PM View BBCode
Someone in the parking lot has the license plate "4Romo9". I'm going to key that censored one of these days.February 26, 2009 at 10:16PM View BBCode

(It's probably time to let this meme go, it's run its course now. Oh, did I mention that one of the local bars is using Ms. Beerfest in one of those on-table in-house ads, you know the ones where it's a sheet in a plastic holder that sits on the table? I did a double-take when I saw the picture in that context.)February 26, 2009 at 10:30PM View BBCode
