Commish --- Where do we stand? When will we know?July 08, 2009 at 11:32PM View BBCode
Im good with that idea Todd...July 08, 2009 at 11:34PM View BBCode
10 teams renewing is the minimum. The downside is then you wait while you find 6 owners... and who knows what kind of GMs they'll be... What if the Message Boards get quiet?July 09, 2009 at 02:07AM View BBCode
What can be done to encourage those of you that are undecided to come back for another few seasons? Would changing the league away from a prize league, and then lowering the cost of renewing, help to get a couple of more teams back?July 09, 2009 at 02:36AM View BBCode
Is your offer still sitting on Chicago's desk?July 09, 2009 at 04:12AM View BBCode

About one of this league's problems. Accept it. Decline it. Counter. But don't let it sit.July 09, 2009 at 01:32PM View BBCode
Or at least send a u2u stating that you want to see if a better offer might come or some form of communication...July 09, 2009 at 05:41PM View BBCode
Not from me :PJuly 10, 2009 at 02:54PM View BBCode
I will not be returning. If we want to start a brand new league or something, I might be in to that. I really, really like the initial 1950 draft a lot. In fact, that's what got me back into playing Sim D again exclusively for this league.July 10, 2009 at 02:55PM View BBCode
It's kind of too bad, too. My team is on the cusp of being competitive again after a relatively brief rebuilding session. I have some very nice pieces on my team and my whole team will be a lot better next year.July 10, 2009 at 07:00PM View BBCode
I changed my renewal status to undecided. I think I'm going to just take whatever portion of the renewal prize I get and transfer it over to my other league and just stick with the one league for now.July 10, 2009 at 09:22PM View BBCode
The prize renewal is a great thing, but did you ever think it would harm the leauge in a negative way? I didn't, that is until I tried to trade many, many, many times with guys in the running for it. "Nah, gonna keep him so I can win the renewal." Even if their team is out of it and has no chance, trading is stunted. So you eliminate one... two...three owners who are in it for the renewal and that's 1-2-3 fewer trader partners you have ina league where most owners won't make offers to begin with, or answer them when they're made. Funny how things turn out sometimes. To those of you who have been active, who have taken the time to give me the time of day when I've sent offers, I'm thinking about forming a league if the ABL folds. I'll be recruiting active guys to be sure, and I think we'll skip the prize renewal. It'll be a competitive league where tanking is most definitely discouraged and one where owners who let offers sit won't be back at renewal, for sure.July 10, 2009 at 11:38PM View BBCode
PS. if you find dogbelly, tell him i still hate the poodles.July 11, 2009 at 02:24AM View BBCode
I see your point Lem but I feel like the bigger issue here is the owners who choose to simply be active without reason.July 11, 2009 at 03:04AM View BBCode
UPDATE: HMPA has declined my offer. This happened yesterday.July 11, 2009 at 05:03PM View BBCode

Chicago NL is currently out of town, might explain his inactivity...also, he's been working a lot of hours at a new job..not giving excuses just saying.July 12, 2009 at 08:19PM View BBCode
and I also agree that Im going to miss my team...I like all the prospects Im gathering and think we would be pretty good down the line..July 13, 2009 at 03:29AM View BBCode
I said this league needed a lifesaver to stay afloat so I'm going to toss out an idea that could be a liferaft. Drastically change the rules of the league for next cycle.July 13, 2009 at 03:50AM View BBCode

CP system 3, curved player developement, new retirement system, anti tanking rules and so on.
How many leaving would stay if the rules changed next cycle? And how many staying would leave if the rules changed?
