New Rule on Accidentally Dropped Players

All,

To avoid future confusion and fiascoes, a new rule is being instituted for the TDFL.

1. Owners will have exactly 2 days (actual days, not league days/weeks) to post on the message board if players were auto-waived/or dropped from their team accidentally. Owners will be required to post the actual first and last names of the players they wish to go back on their team.

I understand that emergencies come up and people go on vacation, but the truth is, the TDFL still moves on while all of this is happening.

It states right there in the rule that this covers accidents. We gave you a free pass the first 2 days and treated it as an accident. But the last 2 days it was obviously not an accident. Also, this rule was put in place to accommodate emergencies and vacations, which you stated neither as a reason for all the auto waives.

I'll happily use what amounts to the 3rd pickup in week 1 to grab a solid players. :)

Thanks Timmy.

Keep up the good work. :saint:

I gotta say, I actually felt bad for Timmy when he battled everyone after I commented on his lack of trading acumen. I was thinking, this must be a kid because its not possible that an adult would make such ridiculous arguments. I dont know what he is, but I do know he sure doesnt hesitate to defend is his "strategy" which has produced a stunning .303 winning %.

While itīs true that players like Timmy screw up the balance of these leagues through their idiotic play, good news is guys like him dont last long and are quickly forgotten.

You can't feel anything, you are cyber punks who are lost in your megalomaniac egos and are protected from reality by your delusions of grandeur. If you believe for one second that you are anything other than pitiful examples of the dregs of humanity, who start to believe the censored that they have to tell themselves when they can't stand to look at themselves in the mirror, you are sadly mistaken. Am I ashamed of having a stunning .303 (not a .303%, you censored moron) win ratio? Hell no, because I have so many other things in my life to be proud of, which I am almost sure of is not true for you putrid examples of how low human beings can sink in their behavior! Get a life you censored up morons!

This message is directed at Admin not anyone else. If it is determined that the rule is valid and is applicable to this situation then I don't have any argument, except to say that some of the players in The TDFL league are assholes who have broken the code of conduct numerous times. The league is about each owner playing their team not spoon feeding other owners players that they need to win a title. Nor is it about waiving players at the end of a season to avoid the trade deadline rule and assist somebody else when their quarterback goes down with an injury. I have seen numerous occasions in many leagues of sketchy strategies that are allowed because players spend money on this site and commissioners who believe that because they have been around for awhile they can dictate strategies and blame newcomers for trying to be competitive. I am an active, conscientious owner who has been trying to field competitive teams and stay within the rules, while watching longtime owners justify their behavior as if it were acceptable when it is not. This site, in my opinion is about having fun, not ganging up with other owners and brow beating anyone who does not operate according to some preordained script.

The team was brought up to 78 players after the last postseason but before the draft, ensuring the team would be above 80 after the draft. I had never imagined anyone doing this so I didn't have any measures in place to prevent it. I will fix that, but the 80-man limit us still a rule, so auto-waivers to bring the roster into compliance are not an accident. Note that the system allows a 5-minute reclaim window for waivers so there should never be an accidental waiver in football unless it takes longer than 5 minutes to realize what happened.

Oh for Pete's sake, Timothy, if you can't figure out the rules, maybe you should find a different game to play.......or at least a different league that will play along with your nonsense. Enough already!!!! Follow the damn rules or go away! If I'm not mistaken, most of us around here just wanna play some football!
