Im pretty sure it would be very difficult to do this. For one thing, most people's minor league teams are not actual teams. for example my RonSL team had 0 minor league pitchers for years (i have 1 now).October 18, 2004 at 06:28PM View BBCode
I know that was the biggest problem, so some people thought you would have to make a 25 man team or something. Yes i know that would take away from improvements but that would help talent inflatin in the long run.October 18, 2004 at 07:17PM View BBCode
actually it would just force you to put all your good young players in the major leagues.October 19, 2004 at 01:26AM View BBCode
But you wouldn't know who they were! That's the point. You'd keep young guys in the minors to "learn" who was a good prospect and who wasn't. You'd have to pay attention to player development that way. Obviously you would also have a bunch of older players filling out your minors, kind of like AAA teams do now anyway. I think it would actually be pretty realistic.October 19, 2004 at 06:16AM View BBCode
This could be a lot of fun, but it sounds like a ton of work.October 21, 2004 at 03:25PM View BBCode
I'm glad there is a lot of interest, but you're right that we just need to find someone who can speculate on the technical feasability side of things. I REALLY hope we can do this, or move toward it somehow...!October 22, 2004 at 07:29PM View BBCode
Try a blind league, they are like this but a lot better.October 23, 2004 at 09:15AM View BBCode
I actually would settle for going one step beyond plusses and minuses going away and improvements being invisible.October 23, 2004 at 10:06PM View BBCode
yeah, that is more realistic than showing nothing at all.October 24, 2004 at 05:51AM View BBCode
Should you do each category separate or only do the overall grade? Because just the overall grade, stats are still important, but you know which minor leaguers should have cp's and stuff. Well you have an idea.October 25, 2004 at 09:17PM View BBCode
Isn't that how the Tony Conigliaro league works? I'm thinking of dumping one of my teams and waiting for an opening in the TCL if that's the case, just to try it out.October 25, 2004 at 10:19PM View BBCode
i think there is more than 1 league that has blind league rules. Im not sure which ones.October 25, 2004 at 10:22PM View BBCode
ok, nevermind, i think im wrong. But you guys could try to put together another blind league because there will probably be a lot of interest.October 26, 2004 at 01:43AM View BBCode
The TCL only removed the +'s and -'s while we are looking to remove even more than that. To make it less predictable.October 27, 2004 at 06:04AM View BBCode
