I thought the Best starting pitcher thread was nice so I want to get some opinions here.
Who was your favorite pitcher to watch work a game? It could be closer or starter or one of those loser lefties they bring in to get 1 guy.

John Burkett eh? He was quite a pick up for the Rangers back in 96. Too bad he had to play the Yanks in the first round of the playoffs that year.

I feel bad for not noticing this before, but that is by far the best "Wagh" I've seen yet.June 18, 2005 at 12:43AM View BBCode
Grew up in the sixties and for me it was Koufax and Marichal and Sudden Sam McDowell (Tribe). In the seventies it had to be Vida Blue. However being a (transplanted) New Yorker and a Yankees fan from the awful teams of the sixties my all time favorite to watch and root for was the incredibly underrated Mel Stottlemyre. Nowadays I really enjoy Willis who really reminds me of Blue.June 23, 2005 at 03:06PM View BBCode
Yeah, Marichal's delivery was crazy. I love watching Prior pitch. His mechanics are amazing.June 24, 2005 at 03:52PM View BBCode

Well, since I've unfortunately never been to a major league game,
you really gotta get out of Mississippi more.
