Okay, people have been bitching about how badly the MLB All-Star teams represent the best players in the league since, well--the first All-Star game, probably. Are you telling me you guys can't even take a shot at evaluating which is better or worse? I can't because I don't know dick about the NFL, but Christ it sounded like a legitimate point to me. The response appears to be, "We don't know if you're right or wrong, but we know you're an idiot."
Which, of course, is a statement I don't entirely disagree with. All the same.

off the top of my head, i'd probably say that the nfl all-star vehicle is likely more 'accurate' (whatever that means) than mlb's, based on the timing and nature of the voting, but i haven't taken any time to evaluate that assumption. it does sort of show that particular point probably isn't generally acepted enough to back up an argument, however. so, fail there also.
i guess what i'm saying is that the response isn't "We don't know if you're right or wrong, but we know you're an idiot", it's more to the effect of "You can't use an unprovable and likely flat out wrong subjective opinion in defence of a logical argument and have people accept it as gospel just because you said so. (You idiot)"
