yea thats a good game. i like how the little people scream. you can build water and put the little guys in it and watch them drown. its rather entertaining.

The Sims was really addicting, though ridiculously pointless. It was a lot better after downloading things such as the nude patch(get rid of those wretched censors) and user created items.

Sim City 2000 sucked many hours out of my life, 3000 was pretty good too but didn't quite have the magic of 2000.

It seems like simulations and strategy games are considered the best on PCs, probably due to their addictiveness and the fact that they just can't properly convert to consoles.

See, I like to kill the guests on Roller Coaster Tycoon by building (I think it's called) the side-friction coaster. The one that if it goes too fast, it just flies off the track. I build a tiny hill just at the bottom of a large drop. The poor people fly slowly to their deaths.

 When I play RCT I usually use a trainer to get rid of land boundries(open up the whole map), then try to build a glorious park. The last scenerio gave you a whole map to fool around with but I didn't like the hilly terrain. I've played RCT 2 but not enough to give it a chance since I only own the original and both expansion packs. Killing people can be fun for a little bit but I prefer to build a park that runs smooth, and to just sit around designing roller coasters.

The best part about the game is you can download real life roller coasters. It's very thrilling to have a park with some of this country's most well known roller coasters in it.

Worms
Sim City (on the whole)
Diablo (any)
X-Com

Those are my personal favorites, I still play them on occasion. I never have played RCT but now I will from what I hear about it!

RCT is amazing. It has a pretty steep learning curve if you aren't familiar with theme park games, but you've played Sim City so you should be alright. I'd say RCT takes about the same time to get good at as Sim City. The hardest part is probably learning how to build a roller coaster that is exciting, not too intense, and runs smoothly. Don't ever forget to test your rides, lol. And make sure it comes back into the station relatively slow or else you could have a serious crash if the brakes give out. Then nobody will ride it for a long time.

yea its awesome. you can just simply make a park and enjoy it or you can do the actual mission thing where you earn awards and stuff like that. its pretty fun.

And even better, it's cheap as sin, so I'll definitely mosey over to the store tomorrow (an off-day! squeal!) and pick it up...

The weird thing about Sim City for me was it seemed the more realistic the graphics became, the more annoyed I was about the things that didn't look right. Like in SC 3000, it totally annoyed me when I saw one house on a block followed by four back yards. Or four garages right in a row. And elevated expressways running in unpopulated areas, or those totally stupid highway-to-highway interchanges that weren't actually cloverleafs. How dumb is that? You're northbound on 95, and when you get to 70, you can only go eastbound...you're not allowed to go west... This stuff never bothered me in SC 2000, but it bugged me endlessly in 3000, and especially in 4, which has totally sucky cheats. I could never get big buildings anyway in that game.

The other thing that was kickass about SC 2000 was that a diaster could totally obliterate a city. It's almost impossible in 3000. The fires go out too quickly. Start a couple fires in SC 2000 and they'll burn the whole damn city down.

yeah I enjoyed 2000 much more than 3000. Plus 2000 was on disks(at least the version I had) so you could install it on any computer. Now you can only install it on one computer and you always need the CD in, unless you pirate or use cracks. 3000 was fun, but it was no 2000. Disasters really were disasters in SC2000, I'd cry when one came along. They had the potential to completely destroy your city.

Makes me want to play Sim City all over again...
I haven't played SC4 though, is it not worth it? I was quite hyped about it, and I'm waiting until I upgrade my comp soon to buy it...

I never got into EQ because unless you devote half your life to the game you will suck. *player swings at bat, miss. Bats swings at player, miss. player swings at bat, miss. etc." It takes a lot of time to just get past those drawn out fights where everybody misses. Then you still can't do all the cool quests until you at at least lv 45-50, and that takes forever to get to. Your options are to dedicate your life to playing or forever sucking

UT2004? I suck at FPS on the computer so I don't like it. I'm not coordinated enough to use the mouse and keyboard at the same time. Besides, my computer can't run that beast of a game. UT2004 is one of the biggest graphics hogs I've ever seen. It looks fun, I just suck at it so I don't have any fun while playing it.

If I want to play a FPS I'll stick to my classic Doom. Just use the keyboard and blast demons straight back to Hell. Wait, that's Doom II, the first one actually took place in Hell....whatever.

I thought Unreal Tournament was awesome even when i sucked at it. Now i am really good at hitting people with rockets from the rocket launcher, and generally have pretty good aim. I cant dodge very well at all though, i just press the jump button a lot. Most of the time i come in 3rd or 4th out of like 15 or 20 people, and am by far in first in deaths. I die rather quickly in that game.
