I am definitely interested in taking the Detroit franchise.
Let me know.:spin:

If the Cleveland franchise is still available...

... I'm up for this, even if my other three dynasty/custom teams suck.
Preferences:
No points for showing up on All Star, etc. lists.
NASCAR points style scoring
Points awarded based on finish in the standings, to keep teams from tanking. I like the 1 point per win, with both winning and losing playoff games also gaining points.
Some sort of agreement among the participants that they will stay within the "spirit of the game" (I just got done reading all about the 44 win, 500 IP, SP Aces in RP roles thread)
I'd rather the prize in the lower end of the spectrum identified at the top of this thread.

I would be interested to get in. The live draft idea really hooked me...either The Baltimore, Philly or KC would be great but would get take any...

Swerve have you worked out the point system or are you still looking for input? Also have you decided on the prize money to be involved?:spin:

I noticed in a previous post (that I missed the first time)
that Dogbelly wanted Baltimore. If he is still in the mix, he got it first. I would be happy with KC or Philly. Just keeping the goodwill going...

Actually, Dogbelly pulled out so that is why I was able to assign you Balt.
Yeah, I think everyone is on board for the point system so we will go with that.
I think we really need to figure out what level of commitment everyone can agree on. I.E. prize entry.
Does everyone want to keep it around $40 or would you all be willing to go $50+?
Let me know. That way I can make some kind of prize list that will hopefully provide the winners with choices rather than one set prize or something.

Proposed point system, feel free to critique::lol:
1 Point for each Regular Season Win
10 Points for 1st Place Finish
9 Points for 2nd Place Finish
8 Points for 3rd Place Finish
7 Points for 4th Place Finish
6 Points for 5th Place Finish
4 Points for 6th Place Finish
3 Points for 7th Place Finish
2 Points for 8th Place Finish
1 Points for each Win in LCS
2 Points for LCS Loser
4 Points for LCS Winner
2 Points for each Win in WS
4 Points for WS Loser
8 Points for WS Winner
Most of the credit for this should go to Crusader though I did tweak some things a little bit.

Swerve, I like your "tweaks" to the SimDynasty Point System for the "Prize League."
I thought I would take a stab at summarizing the total point distribution for the Winners/Losers of the LCS and WS (I am assuming no playoffs required for first or second place and I am not including points for regular season wins)
- LCSG=points for LCS wins; WSG=points for World Series wins
- Winner WS - 33-34 pts. (4LCSG+4LCSwin+8WSG+8WSwin) + 9 or 10 for League finish = 33 or 34 points
- Loser WS - 21 - 28 pts. (4LCSG+4LCSwin+(0-6)WSG+4WSloss) + 9 or 10 for League finish = 21 to 28 points
- Loser LCS - 11 - 15 pts. ((0-3)LCSG+2LCSloss) + 9 or 10 for League finish = 11 to 15 points
This point distribution should keep everyone involved, not only for the added points in Post Season games but also the importance of the Wins during the regular season.
:spin::P:o:cool:
Here are a couple of suggestions for the Name of this "Prize" league:
Pete Rose League
Shoeless Joe Jackson League

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to back out, at least for now. Money is little tight right this second, but if this doesn't get going in the next few weeks and there is still an opening I might be able to do it. I'll keep looking in.
