They've tested out goalline officials in other competitions. I don't know if there are plans to make it a thing on a wider basis.

I think the FIFA President just sort of reversed course today and said they'd look into goal line technology. Personally, that is the only part of the pitch I'd like to see instant replay or any of that stuff. If they started reviewing offsides calls and fouls and corner kicks and stuff it would get pretty terrible.

Well, less than that, but yea. They'll make sure that change comes as slowly as possible, but I'd guess that it will happen in the next few years, at least on some level.edit: oh wow pregnant and isht.

God, yes, the universe wants Spain to win this one. But Ronaldo's ego has it's own gravitational field, so we'll call it a push.

I'd be happy with review on all goals, at the discretion of an extra official (no challenges, in other words). If you limit review to the goal line only, you can't do anything about, say, Thierry Henry and the Hand of Fraud.

Portugal is the last villain remaining, and so will probably beat Spain and Paraguay on penalties.
