Khazim, regarding Denver's offense, 19.8 ppg/22nd in the league is quite pedestrian, is it not? Or were you trying to refute something else?

I was referring more to the efficiency of the Offense, which has them listed at 12th. That's better than average.

That being said, Denver's PPG went up last night by a couple points. Same can be said about their defense, but think about this keen stat:

Denver has only allowed 10 points in the second half for the entire season.

i didn't realize that two special teams td's would increase the offence's ppg average. learn something new every day, i guess.

They're 18th in the league in points per game according to NFL.com. That's not great, certainly, but it's a lot better than people would have expected based on the personnel on the field. The fact that McDaniels deserves (some) of the blame for that doesn't take away from the fact that this team is outperforming expectations on both sides of the ball. The title of this thread looks pretty stupid right now, and there's obviously no chance in hell that I'm going to win our bet.

Aikman has the Broncos offense rated 11th most efficient after week 6.
Aikman has the Broncos defense rated most efficient in the NFL.

Average offense plus dominating defense = winner.

I've always adored Kyle Orton. He's perfect for a not-so-great team. Honestly, Denver got the better end of that deal, or so it'd appear now.

For Tyles...

Plus they started last season in a similar fashion. They had a convincing win vs. the Raiders in week one, followed by a flukish win on a egregious non-fumble call against San Diego in week two. And we saw how that season turned out...

Well, the Broncos have yet to play the Chiefs or Raiders. That could get them to six wins right there.

(And they play the Redskins. 7-9 is quite possible.)

Denver may be a turd of a team...but, despite that, they'll finish with a better record this season than the awesomeness that is Washington and Seattle.

(I don't like McDaniels, but I do like trash talk.)

I'd be willing to take that bet on the Skins.

Not that...Tyles brought up the whole Broncos prediction thing. You sent me a U2U days ago, but I wasn't going to mention it on the boards, until Tyles misremembered.

The point is the Broncos fell flat on their faces, just like last year.

I lost the bet, but the Broncos lost to the Redskins. So, lol.

The point is, the Broncos were expected to be lousy after the tumultuous offseason. Even when they started off well, it smelled a bit flukish.

The 'Skins *snicker*. All that money spent on coaches and big ticket free agent signings have resulted in two winning seasons since Joe Gibbs first retirement.

No, that's not the point at all. The Broncos were 8-5 with home games against Oakland and Kansas City ahead on the schedule, and somehow managed to miss the playoffs. That is a massive fail, regardless of preseason expectation. In that light, it's motherfucking good to be a Seahawks (or a Redskins) fan.

(Also, my coach got fired, and yours can't seem to get along with anyone who doesn't cut the sleeves off his hoodies.)

The Raiders beat several decent teams this season, including two playoff teams. The KC loss was embarassingly bad, but, as it turns out, even a win would not have gotten them in the playoffs.

Personally, I've been skeptical of the Broncos all season, so their not making the playoffs is not a disappointment. None of this mitigates the fact that the Seahawks are turds.

I don't have a coach, but my favorite team's coach should never have been hired in the first place. Sending him back to New England (or anywhere else) would be a great option...

Don't do that stupid semantics thing, it made the sentence less clumsy, as evidenced by your reply.

It's a pet peeve I have. Fans' "ownership" of their teams tends to lead to stupidity, in both thought and deed.

Alternately: "'Skins coach got fired while the Broncos coach is still employed and a turd."

Seeing as how our team rooting interests have been established, its really not hard.
