The lack of black achievement, in my opinion, is twofold: There is institutional racism, and the general economic split between black and white (like I said, GENERAL) does exist because of it. But another key factor is apathy among many blacks and a willingness--too quickly--to blame institutional racism for their problems. That just creates a vicious cycle and makes a bad situation worse. Jesse Jackson is the worst thing that ever happened to the black community.
Rappers are neither good or bad--they are neutral. I listened to heavy metal growing up--I felt no urge to kill my parents or shoot heroin or become a <b>[Censored]</b> or whatever. People have to take responsiblity for themselves, and if you live your life by what some rapper says, you're not doing that.
That said, racism is real and it has a lot to do with where blacks are in this society.

Political stuff I will let slide (most of the time) because talking politics can be a lot of fun(and it doesnt cut as deep as racism, and religion for that matter) some of your comments and Happy's may be viewed as very disrespectull, so lets just drop the racism issue, thanks.

Nah... I say let those kind of things go until someone gets mad, and then shut it down. I feel like as long as the debate is rational, even if it's controvertial, let it go. Once people get mean, that's the time to shut it down. But that's just me, and I purposely told Tyson I wouldn't take the mod job because I'd let things like that slide way too long.

take like a 2 paragraph (thats right TWO, as in like 10 pages) writing by skier, and summerize it into 1 sentance and put that in place of everything he said.

As would I. and i would edit skier's responses so that all the length got deleted, and he just had 1 line. I must admit, I never read Skier's long posts. I just have better things to do than read long posts. Anybody else's I'll skim to find if there's anything interesting. But like my post about black America in this thread... You could say the same thing in 15,000 words, but nobody would read it.

I saw Jeter last Sunday and wasn't impressed by the defense at all. He waves at a lot of balls Tejada would dive for. He's just pretty.
