Ha, Christ.

I know somebody at the game, so...yay Blackhawks, I guess.

Strangely, I hope you actually meant to post that here.

(I did. I did. We're up 1-0 on Anaheim the Angels in the bottom of the fifth.)

early season baseball is weird. right now toronto, seattle, florida and san diego are all leading their divisions outright and kc has a 1/3 share of the al central. ytou could get pretty could odds in vegas of that state of affairs holding up.

He actually returned yesterday.

(Hence the "not really")

The Ducks were their typical undisciplined self, but their low-ranking penalty kill really stepped up. The Sharks did hit a couple posts, and really it's time to give up on Cheechoo, but all is not yet lost. Thankfully there is only one more game before Tuesday (almost as bad as NBA playoffs), which should allow for extra time to recover after that excruciatingly long plane ride on tap.

Nice little fake for that goal to win it by Pittsburgh.

i don't know about anybody else, but i getting pretty sick of bettman's playoff sched. washington and the rangers play wed, then wait until sunday for game 2, then play again monday for game 3? that's nonsense. even if nbc wanted that game for sunday, there's no reason they couldn't have played wed/fri/sun. we need to go back to the old sched where 2 of the series in each conrference started on wed and the rest start on thurs, with every series playing every other day. stagger the setup so that cbc's two favourite series don't play the same day, and do the same for nbc.

The Ducks are so undisciplined, but the Sharks can't take advantage of it. Two straight games with six Ducks penalties and nothing to show for it but a few posts and crossbars. Nabby has made a few nice saves, but he seems to lose focus in the third period.

What Doug Wilson will do if they bow out in the first round is beyond me. He can't just blow up the team with all those players under contract. Oh well. Lower bowl season tickets will be easier to get next year at this rate.

It's terrible. I was actually unknowingly watching the rerun of game 1 on Comcast on Friday, thinking it was game 2 and getting all pissed at the crappy Caps until I finally realized that it was the same goddamn game I'd already seen. Then, of course, they went and dumped game 2 anyway. Langway is going to be my shortest-lived avatar.

the kid played not too badly, though. presumably he goes back in?

the tough thing for the sharks is they've outplayed the ducks in both games. there's no way they blow it up if they lose though. they're not old enough for that.

In what is effectively a must-win game tonight on the road, I'm guessing they'll go with experience.

Guess I was wrong about the Caps not wanting to start Varlamov. One more win and we have a series again.

Nice to see the Sharks and Ducks reenacting the 1995 Western Conference Finals. Away wins are awesome.

Historically the road team has a winning record in Ducks/Sharks games. I still think Ducks in 5. Nabby has been having mental lapses all season, just rarely enough to keep people from noticing. I guess one could say he declined last OS.

tough loss. it would have been quite satisfying to have seen the caps take advantage of all that time avery spent in the box. that guy is a disgrace.

I watched the end. Not that I know censored about hockey, but that Caps power play seemed to be really poorly executed.
