early season baseball is weird. right now toronto, seattle, florida and san diego are all leading their divisions outright and kc has a 1/3 share of the al central. ytou could get pretty could odds in vegas of that state of affairs holding up.April 17, 2009 at 03:33AM View BBCode

The Ducks were their typical undisciplined self, but their low-ranking penalty kill really stepped up. The Sharks did hit a couple posts, and really it's time to give up on Cheechoo, but all is not yet lost. Thankfully there is only one more game before Tuesday (almost as bad as NBA playoffs), which should allow for extra time to recover after that excruciatingly long plane ride on tap.April 18, 2009 at 02:25AM View BBCode
Nice little fake for that goal to win it by Pittsburgh.April 18, 2009 at 02:17PM View BBCode
i don't know about anybody else, but i getting pretty sick of bettman's playoff sched. washington and the rangers play wed, then wait until sunday for game 2, then play again monday for game 3? that's nonsense. even if nbc wanted that game for sunday, there's no reason they couldn't have played wed/fri/sun. we need to go back to the old sched where 2 of the series in each conrference started on wed and the rest start on thurs, with every series playing every other day. stagger the setup so that cbc's two favourite series don't play the same day, and do the same for nbc.April 20, 2009 at 09:16PM View BBCode
The Ducks are so undisciplined, but the Sharks can't take advantage of it. Two straight games with six Ducks penalties and nothing to show for it but a few posts and crossbars. Nabby has made a few nice saves, but he seems to lose focus in the third period.April 20, 2009 at 09:22PM View BBCode

the kid played not too badly, though. presumably he goes back in?April 20, 2009 at 10:05PM View BBCode
In what is effectively a must-win game tonight on the road, I'm guessing they'll go with experience.April 21, 2009 at 02:04AM View BBCode
Guess I was wrong about the Caps not wanting to start Varlamov. One more win and we have a series again.April 21, 2009 at 12:28PM View formatted

Nice to see the Sharks and Ducks reenacting the 1995 Western Conference Finals. Away wins are awesome.April 23, 2009 at 01:17AM View BBCode
Historically the road team has a winning record in Ducks/Sharks games. I still think Ducks in 5. Nabby has been having mental lapses all season, just rarely enough to keep people from noticing. I guess one could say he declined last OS.April 23, 2009 at 02:42AM View BBCode
tough loss. it would have been quite satisfying to have seen the caps take advantage of all that time avery spent in the box. that guy is a disgrace.April 23, 2009 at 02:43AM View BBCode
I watched the end. Not that I know censored about hockey, but that Caps power play seemed to be really poorly executed.April 23, 2009 at 02:44AM View BBCode
