i know this isn't really the place, but i'm watching the jays and rangers right now. they're in the 11th and something is going on i've never seen before. texas has claimed a reliever off waivers from the mets. he got to the ballpark in the 9th inning, got into a uni and went down to the bullpen in the 11th to introduce himself. the phone rings, and the guy goes from introducing himself to the relief corps to warming up. he then comes into the game in the 11th and introduces himself to the catcher and the rest of the infield, who he's never met. the infield is laughing their ass off while he's warming up because they have no idea who this guy is, and he's wearing someone else's uniform to boot. and now he's just given up a walkoff hit to kevin millar. welcome to the texas rangers, son. weird day for the kid.April 23, 2009 at 03:02AM View BBCode

The Blues had been crazy hot for two months, beating the Canucks, Sharks, Flames, Blackhawks, Blue Jackets (twice) and Red Wings, among others. Their record, starting on Feb. 13, was 19-6-3. Over the last 10 before the playoffs, they were 8-1-1.
