Bill Sipin headed to St. Louis

Working very late into the night the St. Louis Sioux and New York Mustangs were able to come to an agreement that would send Bill Sipin, a veteran OF, to the Sioux and Dan Gunderson (RF) and Tommy Hanna (RP) to the Mustangs. When asked for a comment an official from the St. Louis clubhouse responded "We needed some veteran leadership on this team and we got it. (Bill) is a seasoned veteran with the ability to chase down those line drives and has the power needed to clear the bases. We are very happy with this trade." But is this trade really going to help St. Louis? After starting a red hot 11-2, winning 7 in a row, the Sioux have fallen to third in the division, three games behind Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Bill Sipin, while having put together very good stats over the years appears to be having an offseason batting .259 with 3 home runs and 17 RBI's.
