Obviously this isnt an option, but I think there is a way you can do it. I wish I would've thought of this before my custom league but here is my idea.August 04, 2003 at 11:28PM View BBCode
I like this idea. I would also suggest a small, possible, change. Have everyone set their criteria as normal and let the draft run. Everyone would keep the LAST 25 rounds of players. This would cut down on the time needed for a live draft without greatly changing the make up of your team. Drafting 800 players takes a LONG time. Even drafting 1/minute it would take 13 hours and 20 minutes to complete. FAR to long. I would suggest breaking the draft up in to 2 sessions. Even drafting 400 players would take some time. Just a thought.August 04, 2003 at 11:34PM View BBCode
Yes, my emphasis here was getting the key guys you want. Even if we just drafted live the first 10 rounds and let our prefs take over it would be sweet!August 05, 2003 at 01:10AM View BBCode
That could work. Could also do all the amatuer drafts like that.August 05, 2003 at 05:13AM View BBCode
I think it is good except people would have to be there, so i guess if someone doesnt pick after 5 mins or so, then their draft preferances draft for them. I guess the first 18 picks or so would be the most important because after that it is backupsAugust 05, 2003 at 07:41AM View BBCode
It's a pretty good idea. I suspect the easiest way to do it is require everyone to waive their first X number of picks right after the draft, and then they're all in one convenient place for everyone to research from the waiver wire. It might be a lot of fun. You'd have to make sure there was a lot of time between the draft and the start of the season, to make sure you got it all done in time ...Pages: 1
