Colts lose, Rutgers too

November 20, 2006 at 11:43PM View BBCode

Well, it had to happen eventually. Dallas beat the Colts to stop their shot at going undefeated.

Also, in college, Rutgers finally lost to end their undefeated season as well.

Is there a reason I'm talking like a news reporter? Not really. Any thoughts?

I did not think COlts where gonna run the table anyway. But if you watched the game you know that Payton needs to be traded.

Peyton Manning needs to be traded? OK... why?

That throw early on to Dallas Clark would have been a TD if it weren't for the refs and their lack of pass interference calls. I watched the whole game and I think that, though they had plenty of chances to win, they would have won anyways if they had received a few more calls.

I'm not a huge Colts homer or anything, just offering my lame opinion.

The play calling was horrible and frustrating to watch. You can say "if they got calls" but that is weak he is great but I think most fans see he is not a good performer at crunch time.

It always comes to this. Manning at this point unfortunately is suffering from a rep as a "choker"; praised when he does things right (TD season record, owner of back-to-back 9-0 starts) and being viewed negatively when this goes wrong (Sunday's gm). I don't think he needs to be traded , he has the potentional and talent to go far. As Catfish Hunter said once, "the sun does not shine on the same dogs ass every time". I will admit he looks like an arobics instructor on crack when calling plays, but he is obviously not the wrost quarterback of his generation.

To trade Manning is like trading Marino, the guy he is constantly being compared to. People then said should we trade him (Marino) because of his woes on the field surrounding winning "the big one". Manning is number one among Quarterbacks, at least the most notable today. Out of curiousity, BobCat who would you trade him for?

You could trade him for a large number of players and picks. He is the best QB in the league so the deals could be hugs. No doubt in my mind he will set all the passing records before he retires unless he gets hurt. Move him they must or else we are going to be stuck watching Dan Fouts ll for another 5 years.
If you are not old enough to remember Dan Fouts he was always in the AFC Championship and always lost.
I know that the Colts are not going to trade him becuase he is currently getting more T.V. time then Coke and Pepsi and that can only be good for your Club's bottom line so after the Colts get bounced in the second round of the Playoffs. We can fire Dungy and bring in some body else to blame.

wow retards! Manning is not going anywhere and he wont till his contract it up. everyone blames manning for choking but it has been the defence. they only got manning the ball twice the entire second half. Honestly when they did have the ball i felt the play calling was horrible. 3rd and 2 inside the 10 and they throw it, okay that is typical for the colts but with 3 min left idk and then they did the same exact thing on 4th and 2. it cost them the game. as the end with 2 minutes to go they had them 3rd and 9 and let them short pass for the first down. i am not going to say anything about the refs because i was working during this and only say bits and pieces but i forced them to brake me towards the end of the game.

Manning also known as the choke is a joke. how has he choked? against the patroits, keep in mind all those games he had over 21 points, 3 touchdowns and the defence didnt do there part.

and are you seriously saying peyton manning is the reason why the colts arent winning? you think Ben rothenberger can come into there team and win. NO THE COLTS DONT HAVE NO RUN GAME AND HAVE THE BEST PASSER IN THE NFL. IF YOU ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS A GUY THAT THROWS BETTER THAN HIM WOW JUST NEVER TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL -AGAIN.

Well, Peyton's post settles it: This is the most inarticulate thread not referring to the Atlanta Braves in Sports Talk history. High fives all around.

I don't think there is a better QB in the league. That however is not going to make him not rush and screw up with the game on the line.
Also I can't watch Colt games on Sunday night any more because of John Maddens Man-crush on Peyton. Did you know Madden loves to hear Payton talk?
Sadly Brete Favre is no longer the apple of big Johns eye. He is surpassed by Mr. Master Card Shill.

1. Adai had a terrific game.
2. Madden is a fag... I agree with Bobcat 100%.
3. How about another round of high fives for not being up to WB's standards?

I think Peyton makes the best commercials of any QB in the game today.
