To Cincinnati, New York, Boston, and Chicago...of the four playoff teams, only Cincinnati has previously been here. Good luck to each and every team! It's been a great season leading down to this. Let's make the best of it!

I would like to wish Congrats and Good Luck to the 3 other playoff teams, I hope that both leagues have a great playoffs......
I have one question for emidas (by the way Congrats on a great season), my question is, isn't it a little premature in posting the NL pennant up in your profile for the 1952 season when we haven't even played a playoff game yet????? The NL pennant is not won until the league playoffs are over......Please give my guys a little chance of winning this thing......LOL....

Well anyway, here is to a great NL Championship Series and good luck to you and the Storm...........Apps.......

Oh,,,,,,,, I now see what you did.......You gave the pennant to the team that finished with the best regular season record...... Correct me if I am wrong but the pennant winner is the team that makes it to the World Series..... Like I said I might be wrong but what should really be posted is First Place in the NL, until the playoffs are over.... Isn't it always the playoffs that determine the pennant winner????????

Haha, in my profile, I consider the Pennant to be taking first place during the regular season. NL Champs would be the next thing (winning the LCS)...I don't count my chickens before they hatch, especially after 1951.

EDIT: i changed my signature to comply with what you said, as you were right. I wiki'd the pennant and it described it as a banner from a "league-winning" team. That sounds to me like an LCS winner. The way I was using it was the way it was used from 69-93, when there was no Wild Card and the Division Winner was the winner of the "pennant".

Good luck Apps! And may whoever wins between us be the first to finally take down the giant that is the AL

Emidas, first thing I want to say is good luck in game 6 and I hope that Hinch can force a game 7 so we can call this a great Series. Now I don't mean to be correcting you but you are right in saying in 69 to 93 that there wer not any wild card, but the division winner was never called the pennant winnner, they were called division champs and if they won the divisional playoff they then won the pennant and were declared the league Champs. You couldn't win the pennant and lose in the divisional playoffs. The pennant winner is always a representitive in the World Series.....
Once again good luck in the remainder of the playoffs.....

My mistake again. Good call. Good luck in Game 6 as well, I'm really sweating right now (don't want another 1951 to happen) but if it makes it to Game 7, good luck there as well.

Thanks for a great series...and Hinchcliffe scares me every time he takes the mound. That was only his 2nd L all season...

You have nothing to be ashamed about, you guys had a heck of a season climbing over the 100+ win mark. Maybe we'll see each other in the playoffs next year as well? Who knows.
