Needing 7 games to win the ALCS and the World Series, the Chicago South Siders are world champs in '52...Great season...The Boston Rounders will look for revenge in '53...

cinderella is right......the SSiders really had no business in this post season compared to the great seasons the other 3 teams put up......I feel like the '06 Cardinals! go figure

I can't say this series won't leave a bitter taste in my mouth; after winning 108 games in the regular season, Cincinnati fans expected the championship with ease. What our fans didn't count on was the apparent strength of the AL to conquer the NL for the 3rd consecutive year. Hopefully we will see you next year to get revenge, Chicago!
Now I just have to hope a) Massey and Page don't retire (unlikely, but it could happen) and b) Levy, Massey, Page, and McMurtry aren't hit too badly in their declines.
