i would like to trade mike scmidt. one of my top players for a number one draft pick. anyone here who needs a good young thirdbaseman here is your chance. if you get him, and even if he sits the bench hes gotten alot of abs on my roster so he is going to get alot of improvement chances. good pwr, range, speed, and arm. a very good player. i would also like to trade parrish for 2 and 5 or a 3-4 picks. another young player with alot of big league abs this season. if you want a decent young pitcher with alot of opportunity to improve i will trade millwood for a 1 pick. in my minors i will trade polanco for a 2 rnd pick. make offers. ive already done the developing for you. im giving away prospects for draft picks. i am also looking for a b- or better cf i will trade any of the above.October 23, 2003 at 11:21PM View BBCode

I don't understand something. I can't get my minor league roster below 15. I understand the reason for the 15 limit, but you only have 6 guys in the minors, Nate. How does that happen? I have a bunch of scrubs who are basically using up CP's because I can't get rid of them.October 24, 2003 at 03:39AM View BBCode
to get below 15 players in your minor league you have to waive players during a trade.October 24, 2003 at 02:11PM View BBCode
Thanks for the heads-up.October 24, 2003 at 08:08PM View BBCode
i thought it might be an advantage when i did it, but i do not really think it is anymore. the only reason i am keeping it that way is because adding garbage from the waiver wire will do exactly what the roosta said his problem is.October 29, 2003 at 06:31PM View BBCode
i have a roster filled with prospects, and that does not mean that i am unwilling to trade them. my pitching i probably would not be willing to trade, but my better offensive players are all available. schmidt in particular.October 29, 2003 at 09:49PM View BBCode
Nate, might want to recheck that math. lol. To get a 100 improvement chances a position player would need 1000 Plate apperances, a SP 380 IP and a RP 160 IP. The # of chances is 1 for each 10 PA, SP is 1 for every 3.8 IP, and RP 1 for every 1.6 IP. In addition, unless I am mistaken, a RP only gets chances up to 100 IP. After 100 IP he gets 1 chance for each 10 IP for Endurance only. Also, pitching younger SP over 200 IP or RP over 100 IP will reduce their health. Would hate to see you counting on almost 100 imrovement chances on all those young guys when that is just not happening. 50-60 is about right for a fulltime position player. 200 IP = 52 chances for a SP and 100 IP = 62 chances for a RP. Good luck though. All those young guys will certainly improve with playing time though. - NY:)October 29, 2003 at 10:22PM View BBCode
i said about 100 i guess 60 is much closer your right. i was gettting excited. my work was canceled today, and i was filing my time with simdynasty without having much interesting stuff to do at this point. anyway i knew about the 200 and 100 thing and am being very careful. i have a 22 yr old rp with 98 ip im going to get him the 2 more and than im sending him dwn. my starters are all on pace for the 200 ip and will be sent down or to the bull pen as they get closer. my point in that post is that the c+ and b- players on my team are not only young but inline for big time improvements that other teams might not realize. unfortunately i think that the chances of winning with all of my players developing at the same time may not be realistic. if i spread it out over the next few years i may be able to establish a dynasty. by bringing up good young players and trading my 28 yr old stars.Pages: 1
