Assuming that's all right, at one point would a player pass the improvement threshold? Improvements for major leaguers occur in the off-season, but how is their age determined as to whether they are eligible for improvements (or declines). Does it matter if they turn 28 in October or December or March? Is it end of season age or beginning of next season age?

If I recall long-ago threads correctly, players improve up through age 27, remain stable through 32, then can start to show decline at 33. The amount of improvement/decline depends upon usage, coaching points etc.Assuming that's all right, at one point would a player pass the improvement threshold?
