al east. the yanks have made a lot of big moves as well as the redsox but baltimore has reportedly made 120million dollars in offers and are expected to land either guerrero or tejada, pudge or javy lopez and sidney ponson. the bluejays have put together a very nice rotation and have added miguel batista and dont seem to be done. even tampa seems to be in on it they are considered the favorites to land cuban defector, maels rodriguez who is 24 and is said to have topped 100mph on the radar gun. he is ranked on espn .com as 28 on the top 50 free agents list and is one spot behind tom gordon and one ahead of carl everett. should be interesting.December 14, 2003 at 10:42PM View BBCode
who voted for AL West? if the orioles put money into their team, there may be three teams in the AL east better than the best team in the al west.December 14, 2003 at 10:50PM View BBCode

yeah, ok, lets see if the As put money behind their team. oh thats right, that NEVER happens. im sorry the orioles havent put money behind their team for 4(? maybe 3) years, but we will see this year.December 14, 2003 at 11:01PM View BBCode
okay lets see if the A's NEED to put any $ in their team to be better then the O's. If the O's get Vlad, that would be huge but they are still a (big) step behind the A's, M's and Halos. I think the Sox's will be great next year and the Yanks will be very good too, but the AL west has more depth IMO.December 14, 2003 at 11:03PM View BBCode
yeah, the Angels did just great last year... and same with the biggest folders of the league last year, the Mariners. Orioles + vlad and Nomar and someone else definatly better than As - TejadaDecember 14, 2003 at 11:09PM View BBCode

all the divisions except the nl central and east will be good. i agree with everything skier said about the al east, the al central has a bunch of teams that wouldnt make .500 in the other divisions, the al west is balanced pretty well, and the nl west should be a lot more balanced than last year. the nl central will have 3 competetive teams but the other 3 suck and the nl east will probably be dominated by philadelphiaDecember 14, 2003 at 11:36PM View BBCode
yea the yanks and sox have been battling all offseason and the orioles are expected to land one of the top two free agent catchers, vlad OR tejada and ponson. the o's will still be short on pitching though. the jays have added some pitching and do have a good offense to go along with that and even the d-rays made some moves and probably will make some moves. i think that one team that will deserve to make the playoffs wont bcuz of the division they play in. it will definetly be interesting though and i have to say that the 19 games that each al east team has to play against each of the other al east teams should be very interesting and i dont think that one team will run away with it. im pretty sure that the wild card winner will come out of the al east.December 17, 2003 at 02:54AM View BBCode
SOMEONE VOTED FOR THE AL CENTRAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!December 17, 2003 at 03:03AM View BBCode
i voted for the al central cuz i misunderstood the question. i thought it was asking which division was the toughest for a team in it to win, not which division had the toughest teams in it. there is no clear-cut winner in the al central, detroit seems like it could have the same chance of winning as kc which i think is the favorite. with that out of the way, i think the al east is by far the toughest divisionDecember 18, 2003 at 02:56AM View BBCode
i guess u could make an argument like that for the al central since all the teams in it either suck really bad or just kinda suck so they are all pretty much even. but yea the point of the question wuz wut division has the toughest teams in it.December 18, 2003 at 06:08AM View BBCode
hmmmmm yeah, AL central is kinda the best answer. but al east is betterPages: 1
