Here's an interesting question, which known figure had the worst year?
You will get props for picking the right one, because there IS a right answer!:)

The subject of the beloved Al Franken's book, whose title refers to him as a 'BIG FAT IDIOT'...

Rush Limbaugh.

It's a tough decision, they all had awful years.
But I am thinking R. Kelly shouldn't have made it, no charges have stuck yet, and his new CD sold tons of copies. So not really terrible.
The people who almost made the cut, but didn't!
Winona Ryder
Kobe Bryant
Gray Davis

Did I miss anyone?

Bartman.

I'm sure he's learned the meaning of, "It seemed like a good idea at the time."

Already a couple of votes for the Bartman.
Didn't think it was that bad for him, at least compared to others on the list. He'll bounce back, but man was it a bad year for him...
I'll rank all 10 later in this thread after I give it more thought.
I don't think the Wachowski bros. deserve the top spot but their reps took a HUGE hit over the last year, but no one can take the original Matrix away from them.

its probably michael jackson. r.kelly does have to worry about those child porn allegations but he has come out with a few hit songs and like u said he has sold tons of cds. so it wuznt too bad for him.

It might be Jackson, so far...
Is it wrong of me to be dissappointed now that it looks like the case against Michael is pretty weak.
I can't help it, personally, so much I want to see him stopped...

i think that it hurts him that charges like this have been brought on him before and he isnt well lets just say he isnt the perfect picture of normalcy.

Maybe all this will pierce through the walls surrounding the strange little world he's made for himself, but delusion that strong is most likely permanent...

Now that Jackson has his passport and is going to Europe, lets see if he ever comes back. Michael Jackson is sure to beat these charges, but he needs intensive psycological help. I really hope he gets help before someone gets seriously hurt.

I don't see Coby on the list........

Well, Kobe was a candidate, but it just wasn't bad enough for him.
The case against him isn't strong, and in spite of everything he was the top vote getter for the all-star game, so his rep hasn't taken much of a hit.
In this society nowadays, you have to murder or molest someone for people to really care.:puzzled:

Steve Bartman. I still maintain that all the hoopla wasn't fair, but that kid must've had to move to Miami by now.

It's getting better for Bartman.
The majority of email and letters to DePorter has been positive. DePorter is the guy who bought the bartman ball in order to destroy it. When he asked all chicagoans to write in and recommend how to destroy it, most were forgiving of Bartman, I bet we see him for the ball destruction ceremony, and though some will still be angry at him, most people are ready to let it go.
We Cub fans just aren't as vindictive as you Red Sox fans out there!:)
Example...
*Ahem* Buckner!
*200 decible screaming and yelling in New England area*
*ahem* Steinbrenner!!
*sounds of mayhem and rioting...*
