I needed more than 10 options!
:(
No disrespect to those, both are good, I just tried to make the choices as varied as possible...

Never liked West Side Story much...
I'm a Sondheim guy myself...

I saw Cats too...same trip in New York I saw Les Miz. It was okay, for what it was, somewhat creative...but all in all, irritating. Was Godspell on the list? The production my high school classmates did kicked ass.

1:Sweeney Todd
2:Cabaret
3:Once Upon a Forest

Those are fun ones, but you know it could change daily. Just depends on my mood.
Might be the Music Man tomorrow...

Smocko...what are you grumbling about? I hate it when people do that. We're not all mind readers. What's the grumble for?

sorry..

Personal venetta against musicals.
you should read Les Miserables, though. Even I liked the play, but the book is unbelievably better.

There's just something about the characters bursting into song at the drop of a hat. It's silly, but fun...:)

I want to see that new musical, Wicked, that I keep hearing about. It sounds interesting.

Well...personally I hate musicals. The thing I like about Les Miz is that in addition to being a great story with great characters, the ENTIRE thing is sung...even the "speaking" parts are sung. That means it's more of an opera than a musical.

Oh yeah...but my FAVORITE musical of all time is....

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

(yes, it's a musical).

I totally forgot South Park, an excellent musical!
I still randomly burst out singing Blame Canada for no reason....
(grocery store, bank, execution gallery...)
ah, memories.

i was forced to see Oklahoma, since it was a school play and my sister was in it. it sucked. West Side Story my school did the previous year was really good since we had a few erally good actors/actresses, but they are gone now.
Read Les Miserables, never seen it.

My favorite TV show with musicals....
The Simpsons!!!
"Who needs the Kwik-E-Mart?"
"The Spring in Springfield"
"See my Vest"
"The Stonecutter's Song"
How 'bout that clip show where they Homer sang about hating musicals?

Its funny, I've never liked musicals, but last year for my girlfriend's birthday I took her to NYC to see a Broadway show... I found out that she was in a high school production of "42nd Street" back in the day, so I took her to see it on Broadway. I didn't really think I'd like it, but I actually really enjoyed it a great deal... It was really good, and I'd go see another one too.
So by virtue of it being the only one I've seen, I'll say 42nd street.

Musicals are a lot of fun to watch, as long as it's a good one.
A rousing musical can make a believer out of a hater anyday!

But not Moulan Rouge, that was crap...:o

ok people, a show with a couple songs in it is NOT a musical. it has to be mostly song to be a musical. a true musical is all musical. ive hated every musical ive ever seen except... no except... nevermind.

speaking of people saying something like that did you see what Johnson said before the bungles rams game? he said "yeah ive got a prediction........(very very long pause)...no i dont, but you will see who wins when you see our victory dance.

Guys and Dolls is a fine show. I watch it every time it comes on TV. It was, as far as I know, Marlon Brando's only singing role.
Good move Marlon.
