On 8/16 when Erik Beaumont went down with an injury, I assumed the worst. We have played under .500 ball in years past with him out of the lineup, include last year's playoff debacle. However, an 8-game win streak and a 12-4 record since have kept the Storm at the top, 5 over the Wiseguys and 7 over the Browns with 24 to play. With 9 games against those two teams, including the next 6, nothing is considered safe in the NL. Good luck to all those involved in the chase.

Note: Greg Brown is 7 wins away from becoming our first 300 win pitcher.
