Is it my imagination, or did the level of talent in the amateur draft improve a little bit this time around? Without out breaking down all the grades, this seemed to hit it just about right this time. Wonder if that was happenstance or an effective tweak by Tyson.October 03, 2002 at 10:29PM View BBCode
Did anybody notice the number of A- or better pitchers? There are now 32 A- or better starters and all but 4 are 30 or younger. There are 26 A- or better relievers and most are also young. There will be a lot more next season too. That's amazing considering there are 19 batters total that are A- or better. I guess that draft of '51 really screwed everything up. It'd be interesting to see how everything would develop without that draft.October 04, 2002 at 02:02AM View BBCode
I was flipping through that too. I think most of them were in the talent heavy 1951 draft.October 04, 2002 at 03:39AM View BBCode
Well, I got the 6th pick, and I got a solid B 17 year old starter who's gonna be a superstar for years... I hate to see what picks 1 through 5 were like!Pages: 1
