Probably not great his first season, since the rest of the team is a shambles. But, I think he will be a very solid NFL quarterback in time. If the lions can put together some sort of O-line and draft a good RB, I could see this being the beginning of a turnaround for them. (Like the Cowboys taking Aikman.)

they all work for me. and stafford is no troy aikman. i imagine the lions would be happy with drew bledsoe though.

The Raiders did their best to make sure the Lions will be the NFL's 31st best team for the next few seasons.

Alright I think the Lions are stupid for taking stafford!!! They should have drafted an OL man like Jason Smith this year with the number 1 pick that way they build there line. Then next years draft they would most likely have a top 5 pick which would put them in like for Brafford, Tim Tebow, Cult McCoy, Jevan Snead!!! All of which will probably turn out better than stafford.Atleast thats my take :)

Just for the record: the Lions did sign Jon Jansen recently. Which while not earth shaking it certaintly won't hurt anything.

Jon Jansen is absolutely terrible. He has lost all of his skill. over the hill is an underexagurration. he rolled to the bottom of the hill, and then started digging.

Happy is the single most definative source on NFL talent, of course. I think we can safely agree Jansen is better than what the Lions had.Pages: 1 2
