Hello,<BR><BR> You are coming up to the time of your renewal. The 1991 season will be your last full season before renewal. If you could please consider whether or not you are returning and let the league commish know. We now have the ability to track renewal intentions on the game side of the website. If you log into your team, and go to Edit Profile, you can update your renewal status there. You can also see the renewal status for anyone in your league by going to the league info page. This feature is enabled about 21 days before a league reaches the renewal deadline. <BR><BR> Please update your status accoordingly and/or send a u2u to the league commish letting them know whether your returning, not returning, or if you have already paid (including replacement owners who took over a team mid-term). Even if your undecided, we would like to at least get a response from you stating that so we are aware your thinking about it.<BR><BR> Below is the information and a link if your ready to renew now. The renewal cost for this league is $65.00 for the next 14 season term. However, if you renew before Saturday, July 25th, the cost is only $60.00. There is also a chance you could lose your team to an expansion owner if everyone else is ready to go by then. If there is a question or you need an extention on your payment, please send me a u2u to let me know ASAP.<BR><BR> To renew, login to your team and go to the owner tab, and then click on Renewal. This will bring you to a page which will tell you the cost and provide you with a payment link. Once paid your team will be automatically marked as renewed and you can trade picks into the next term. If you have trouble finding it, you can use the following link:<BR> http://www.simdynasty.com/renewal.jsp<BR><BR> Note: You must be logged into your Albert Belle League team on the gameside for this link to work properly. We have recently coded a new renewal process to help automate things. Before, payments and renewal statuses were all searched through and applied manually, which consumed a significant amount of administrative time. We have tested the system out in a several leagues with good success. You can view all the teams which have paid on the league info page. All the paid teams can trade picks beyond the current term. You can now renew at any time in any private/speed league by using the link under the owner-->renewal tab.<BR><BR><B>The Expansion Draft</B><BR>Once a league has a total of 16 paid renewing owners and paid expansion owners, and the OffSeason has run, the schedule for expansion drafts will kick in. My rebuild is a mess and I need to take a break, might benefit from an expansion draft, and then come back later.

The league folds? I had not considered that would happen. Looks grim... and when I was doing OK rebuilding my team.

If all of the "unknowns" could try and figure out their intention soon that would be great, that way we can figure out if we need to scramble to find owners or not :)

I will be returning. I enjoy the game a great deal...if worst comes to worst, the remaining owners, we can try to merge with a new league building up, they can transfer our rosters and normalize their talents to the league average, I believe...

Still on the fence. While I've really enjoyed this league a lot, it's definitely taken a nosedive in terms of participation and activity over the last few seasons.

Modify their ratings (or not) to the players in the other league in case one is more developed than another etc..

Yea I agree...though I feel like the same thing happened before the end of last session, and picked up again...What if we restarted the league and did a new initial draft? Any interest in that?

... at least in my case. I'm just tired of seeing offers parked on desks for days at a time. Reject them, accept them or counter-offer. It would be nice if teams particpated more onthe boards now,which doesn't happen.

I am right in between Yar and Lem on this one. I like the league but the activity level of the league has dropped. Alot of quality owners are leaving. Im still pretty much undecided but leaning towards not renewing. As my team is coming to the end of a run I will be rebuilding soon and do not want to go through that effort unless I plan on being in the league for awhile.

Well sadly at this point it looks like the league may not be looking at going forward... if this is a case I will probably rather take my time before getting into a 2nd league all over again since my other league is a lot of fun too and I could just focus on that one only fora little while.

I would prefer the league NOT to go forward rather than suffer through another term with six (!) new GMs and issues therein.

Looks like the only way that I will be keeping the Philly Freedom going is through a merge league (if I am being premature with this please excuse me). How many other owners are interested in keeping their team going?I was looking for information about these leagues and this was the only thing that I could find:

Admin is looking at starting up a merged league. The thread is the one you linked. I would post there that you want to bring over your team from the ABL (if it does not continue) and secure a spot early. I would encourage other GMs to do the same, just in case.If enough of us jump over there, we'll have plenty of GMs to start.
