BY TYSON'S REQUEST, ONLY OWNERS FROM DEFUNCT LEAGUES MAY NOW JOIN THE LEAGUE
The league, based off the earlier proposed OVL, will have
Variable Development
System 3 Minor Leagues
System 2 Injuries
Letter Grades
Draft Lottery for the Bottom 6 Teams
12 Games Per Day
Cost: $70 for first 8 months, $55 for every 8 month period after that (+ $5 if renewal prize is put in place)
and will be major league themed, meaning you must pick a real major league city/team name for your team
If you do not have a team to take from a defunct league, I don't, you will be able to take a team from one of the involved defunct leagues to begin with.
FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS SPOTS WILL BE RESERVED FOR PEOPLE WHO EITHER RESERVED A SPOT IN THE OVL OR POSTED IN THE MERGED LEAGUE THREAD..IT IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE FOR THESE OWNERS

Hour ago, Tyson approved my creation of a new merged league, the Billy Beane League.BY TYSON'S REQUEST, ONLY OWNERS FROM DEFUNCT LEAGUES MAY NOW JOIN THE LEAGUE

count me in. i would like to bring my team from the folded PVL who are called Chicago Black Sox , now if I can't use the Black Sox name then I would prefer changing the name to Toronto Blue Jays. thanks. Get my name up there on the list lol lol.

I'm interested, I'd take Houston Colt .45s, but I don't have a team in a defunct league. Would I just take a team from a league that is folding, how will that work?[Edited on 7-24-2009 by JLlamas]

You would need to be the Astros as the league is NL theme, so I have you down for Houston
I will open teams up in whichever defunct league has the most players. This should keep as solid of a balance of talent as possible. When I open them up, it will be first come first serve, and I will be the last to pick.

not sure what you mean thaceo??? " open up teams, first come first serve ??? I will be getting my old team back intact will i not ??? Just with the team name change. Once you have 16 teams will tyson contact us about paying ??? You will be the last to pick what ??

don't worry...you are keeping your old team. Teams who do not have a squad from a defunct league, but want to join will get to pick their team from a defunct league, most likely the ABL, and it will be first come first serve for those teams. I will pick my team last because it would be unfair if I did not (I would get the first pick automatically).
Once we have the 16 teams, I will send everyone a u2u and we will vote on a few rules that aren't in stone (renewal prize, years in advance we can trade draft picks, etc.). I will also contact Tyson, who will take care of the payment part.

that makes 6 TBD teams , 4 ABL and 3 PVL with 2 to go. it is looking like it will be the TBD league that owners without a team will be getting their new teams.[Edited on 7-24-2009 by STEROIDS_R_US]

It could wind up being 6 TBD, 3 ABL, 3 PVL, and 2 MVL (lemaster might switch). I think its good we have a solid mix of different leagues in here. It seems to me we will be getting the best parts of a lot of the defunct leagues as well as other solid owners interested in the format, good mix if you ask me.
