Imperial Injunction.

November 13, 2009 at 08:43AM View BBCode

Fellow Off-Topicers,

It has been a while since I've exercised my power as Emperor here.

But we have a bona fide issue that must be addressed with the utmost urgency.

It would appear that many of you have found yourselves distressed, angered, or fallen way short of anything close to "amused" at the sight of [Edited for content- Heightened sense of urgency of this post has forced injunction to prematurely go into effect before the post is done- explanation below]'s posts.

This person is lost, apparently, and it is up to us to make sure he finds himself.

By discontinuing any further communication with him. I will not mention his name, because as per the BEGINNING OF THIS POST...

He does not exist in the realm of Off-Topic. (We already have a him, do we not?) He will be allowed to post here to his heart's content, but no one...

NO one is:

1) to acknowledge these posts in any way

2) respond to these posts

2.5) entertain private conversations via U2U

3) refer to him by name, even in posts not of this board

There is no way for myself to monitor this activity on a grand scale, but I can enforce my own policies when I can bear witness to them. I can only ask that you exercise your own integrity to ensure these stipulations are followed. Only then, may we see results in that he will break. (Trust me. They always... break...)

There are no penalties in place for those who wish to violate these rules, other than scorn and indignation from those who choose to do so.

Signed,
Lou., drunkengoat, Emperor. of Off-Topic.

Goat.

This concludes all verbal documentation of The Quiche Act, 13 November 2009.

I think Rudy failed me.

He's been wandering around aimlessly from whatever it was he has been complaining about ever since getting back.

Mmmm, quiche for dinner last night. Leftover quiche for lunch today. The Quiche Act for mindless adherence to for all time.

Really dude? Really? Quiche? Do you know what's like the least punk rock food in the world?

I don't know, probably something with eggplant in it?

I guess it's pretty much any kind of noodle casserole. Shudder.

No way. If there's one thing about noodle casserole (besides it being pretty goddamn revolting), it's of the motherfucking people. Punk rock is all about saying fuck you to the elites, about toppling an oppressive social order and about fighting tooth and nail for the working classes. (OK, I'm seeing this through a Strummerian lens. Go with it.)

I'm not sure what would be the least punk rock food, but it definitely comes with some kind of truffle sauce.

the least punk rock food in the world is served at a restaurant in Paris, las vegas. it's caled the 777 burger. it's a hamburger garnished with lobster tail, exrtraordinarily rare truffles cooked in a supremely expensive special oil and served with fries made from some kind of ridiculously expensive sweet potato. it comes with a bottle of rose dom perignon and costs (as you may have guessed) $777. oh, and there's 3 kinds of expensive french cheeses on it as well.

I HATE QUICHE AND THEREFORE I HATE YOU!

Quiche. It's just fun to say. And write. Oh, and eat.

I'm not talking about the shitty stuff your mom made with spinach and whatnot. I'm talking ham and bacon and sausage with a crust that goes over the top and everything. It's like breakfast pot pie.

I hate pot pie too. And yet, I love pie.

(I mean, the quiche thing is at least a defensible position. This pot pie business is your Waterloo.)

We've done this one before. I don't really dig on gravy that much. I don't really trust anything that has the same consistency as snot (or, I guess, cum).

I don't think I even know what a pot pie is. I mean, I'm aware of the term "chicken pot pie", but...yea, no clue.

(and gravy's pretty awful, yea.)

I will wander in the desert with Eriq. We will eat only dry-cooked meats.

I just looked up pot pie on Wikipedia. There's no way I can imagine myself eating that.

So, yes. The desert. Mos def.

My taste is very southwest. I imagine we will bring similar dishes to the OGL pot luck.
