They lost. Who goes to a welcome home party for losers? Seriously.

they did lose the SB, not a playoff game.
their fans shoulda showed up to congratulate them on a great season, and a valiant run through the PO's.
back in '78 and '79, the oiler fans showed up 25,000 and 60,000 after the Oilers lost in the AFC championship to Pittsburgh. we were proud of the team, and they had exceeding all expectations, even in a loss.
but there is SO much to do and root for in Indy, I can see why they turned their backs on their AFC champs.

Some talking head (probably Kornheiser, because Wilbon is dead to me.) made the comparison of these Colts to the Braves of the 90s and it felt apt. Maybe the fans are just getting too full and have forgotten what its like to not have a competitive team on a regular basis, or like Atlanta, are just terrible fans that don't much care.
