I agree with you. The issue is, it's a point system that calculates the voting. I am sure if Seaver had more K's he would have been in there.

16-6 W-L 2.65 ERA & 1.19 WHIP reminds me of Maddux #'s. No big deal really, but he deserved the recognition in my opinion.
