At one point the concept of Home Field Advantage was brought up, and I know it's on Tyson's list to implement. I think I've figured out the way to do it.November 07, 2002 at 08:17PM View BBCode
That sounds good to me. I also think that maybe subtracting a point or two from opponents range and control might be good too. I know a lot more about the bay area teams than others, but I know that Oaklands drummers can get on the nerves of opposing pitchers (and fans too I'm sure), and SF's brick wall and strange stadium layout have hurt other teams as well. These detrimental effects to the visiting team should probably be less than the positive effects to the home team, because good players will still play well, regardless of the stadium they are in.November 07, 2002 at 08:33PM View BBCode
Well, if you subtract while away and add when at home, you're never playing at your rating. Since there's nothing between home and away, adding 4 and subtracting 2, for example, would be exactly the same as adding 6 and subtracting nothing.Pages: 1
