I've probably read more than one should about what LeBron might do. I guess this is what you do when your baseball team sucks, and the local team (the Padres) aren't on TV because they have a ridiculous tv contract.
Here's some random stuff I've been thinking about...
They are making the announcement tomorrow night from a boys and girls club in Greenwich Connecticut. This is like exit 3 off the 95, just over the border from NY and a long haul from Bristol. If they were trying to pick a location convenient for ESPN, I would have thought they'd just go up to Bristol. Or even have it at ESPN Zone in Manhattan. Maybe LeBron didn't want to haul all the way to Bristol. I've also heard that maybe the ESPN crew will be in Bristol and LeBron will be on satellite from his home.
Recently, like yesterday, the ownership of LeBron's home in Ohio was transferred to an LLC in Chicago. Not sure what this means or why LeBron would do that. Maybe just a coincidence. But if he were to start an out of state LLC, why not Delaware?
Finally, if he is going to leave Cleveland, why put your home fans through the torture of an hour long announcement? There has to be a less painful way to do this, right? It's like the difference between ripping a band-aid off, verses telling someone you may or may not rip it off tomorrow at 9PM. Seems rather cruel or not well thought out. Also, the name of the special "The Decision", fits a bit too nicely after The Drive, The Fumble, and The Shot. If he were leaving, they'd probably steer ESPN towards another name for the event.
