1951 AL Playoffs

Have to admire the way the Highlanders finished the season, steaming past Cleveland for the regular season crown. The Bounders dominated most of the year but ran into problems after a key injury and a falloff in pitching effectiveness.

Expecting an entertaining series.

Looks like we could go seven. My team was almost injury-free for the second half of the year, which was admittedly a huge benefit as it seems like most of the other AL squads got hit with a lot more bad luck than the Highlanders.

Congratulations, Highlanders....can't say I'm not disappointed, but we got beat fair and square.

Good luck against the NL!

Thanks Greyfan. It was definitely a tight and exciting series. New York will try to represent the AL well against the mighty Stalkers.

Good luck to you too. First WS appearance for me, so I'm hoping for some beginner's luck!

Congrats to Stalkers (I did not believe I had a chance to win the playoffs) and congrats to Highlanders. Good luck to both teams in the series although it would be nice to keep the Jim Edmonds trophy in the NL.
