Well, I found the answer in another SS posting
***WARNING FOR PLAYOFF TEAMS***
The sim got off the (one 3-game series per day) schedule during the season due to a server issue. ABE will still sim 3 games today so after game 162, the first game of the playoffs WILL BE SIMed TODAY! Be sure to make all your roster moves as soon as game 162 is simmed (between 2:30 and 3est). The first playoff game sim will run about an hour after the last game.
If you are resting a player that you want to use in the playoffs you will need to put him on the active roster prior to the start of the playoffs....although, I doubt anybody is resting players at this point!

I had players resting for the last game of the regular season. The ALCS first game played without providing a chance to update the line-up. The pitchers (#1 and 2 starters) who were resting cannot be activated now. It states I will have to wait to promote for the break between the ALCS and the WS. I would prefer to be able to demote a player now, since I am not promoting a player I thought this would be allowed. Why do these leagues play games against 2 opponents daily instead of just playing the 3 games scheduled against one opponent? This would keep the 1st playoff game from starting on the same day as the last regular season game.[Edited on 8-22-2010 by TheColonel]
