Tie game. bases loaded, one out. bottom of the 10th. Diaz hits ball past the centerfielder, and the ball rolls to the wall. the runner on third scores. game over. Diaz should be credited with a single.November 12, 2010 at 09:30PM View BBCode
bump. i hope this gets corrected.November 12, 2010 at 10:52PM View BBCode
while i agree that you are correct about the scoring, i have to wonder why we should bother with what seems to be a mostly meaningless issue.November 13, 2010 at 01:32AM View BBCode
what if the ball bounces into the stands? would it still be changed to a single from a ground-rule double?November 13, 2010 at 01:44AM View BBCode
This used to work correctly, not sure why it doesn't anymore.November 13, 2010 at 04:51PM View BBCode
my issue here is to get ABE up-to-date with the proper MLB rule. i mean it doesn't make sense to have the bases loaded, and a guy hit a double and only one run score. so you end the game with two guys on third and the batter on second? it should be ruled a single. i realize this might be difficult to program.November 13, 2010 at 08:09PM View BBCode
it should in real life, yes. i just don't see how it would in any way be worth anyone's time to have someone code. it's going to come up, what, three or fourt times a year max? if ABE continues to get it wrong, what negative effect is that really having?November 14, 2010 at 06:26AM View BBCode

realism of scoring is important to me. not a priority to you.November 15, 2010 at 10:27PM View BBCode
or, apparently, most anyone else.November 16, 2010 at 02:07PM View BBCode
that's commendable. just try to keep in ind that perfect realism is not going to be possible, although getting as near to it as is practicable is of course the goal.Pages: 1
