Player Happiness

I've always thought this would be a nice wrinkle to the game. Have a way to have a player become unhappy, request a trade etc. And what I thought would be neat is if a red player (76 rated or higher) between the ages of 26 and
32 let's say. Somehow have the code figure out that this player (whose red and young) hasn't started more than 40 percent of his team's games over a 50 game span of the season. That player would "feel" that he should be playing. Complain for more playing time or be traded. If you continue not starting him, he could suffer an up to 8 percent drop in his attributes (this would be variable across all his skills).

Again any of these numbers are variable. I'm just throwing out the idea.

This would be interesting. Maybe get rid of "leadership," and replace it with "morale," which could be an ever-changing variable instead of something set in stone at 28. Mentoring then would become a function of morale and experience, and might change over time as well.

The higher the morale, the less likely the player would be to go into a funk and become a clubhouse cancer. Once the complaining player gets what he wants (more ABs or IPs, or a trade), his morale goes back up.

I think Leadership and Morale are two separate issues. Barry Bonds no doubt had high morale as he was setting his "record" but he was still a clubhouse cancer with zero leadership.
