I'm not sure what criteria ABE uses to pick pinch hitters, but I think the manager/gm should have more control. I traded for a player because he was a good pinch hitter, but since coming to my team he has not seen an at-bat. How about a "designated pinch hitter" or two?

So if you have a weak hitting SS, but a strong PH on the bench, this substitution should happen. Also, if he's your best guy on the bench, you should see him pinch hit for the pitcher most games.
What player on your team are you talking about? I can probably help figure out why he isn't getting into the games. When did you trade for him?

The logic goes like this. If it is a close game, ABE will try to pinch hit for you in the 8th inning or later where the matchup warrants it.So if you have a weak hitting SS, but a strong PH on the bench, this substitution should happen. Also, if he's your best guy on the bench, you should see him pinch hit for the pitcher most games.
