Kiewel, Sheard leading the way for Edmonton

Fans continue to pack the house in Edmonton, as the seemingly unstoppable QB/WR combo of Kurt Keiwel and Mike Sheard continue to work perfectly together, leading the way to Edmonton's current 7-2 record, tops in the conference.
"They don't come much better than Mike," said Keiwel, "he's always right where you want him to be, making that little extra cut to get away from the defense. There's a ton of recieving weapons assembled on this team, (tight ends) Andre and Fred (Douglas and Moore, respectively), Charlie (Northcutt) out there at wideout, Carey (Schumann) with him, they all know how to do their job really well, and it's great having them all out there, but Mike, we just click really well. I drop back, scan the field, and he just finds ways to get open. Makes my job a lot easier."
"Well, you know, Kurt's a great personal friend and teammate," said Sheard, "I just go out there and try to do my job and make it as easy for him to do his. Everyone on this team contributes, it's just such a great atmosphere to play football in."
Kiewel has thrown for over 300 yards in every game for the Cracker Cats this season, eclipsing the 400 yard mark twice. He's also been the top passer in all but one game this year - a 13-10 loss to Edmonton, in which Kiewel's 397 yards were surpassed by Portland's Mark Van Every, who threw for 424 yards.
Catching all these passes is Sheard, who, ever since being the leading receiver in Edmonton's week three loss to Portland, has been the top receiver in every game the Cracker Cats have played since, twice eclipsing the 200 yard mark (236 yards against Portland and 201 against Baltimore).
