Draft position #3, player drafted ranked #12

How does that happen? Why even bother with draft rankings? I invested considerable points in the position and got the #3 spot, only to find that instead of getting the 3rd best runner in the league (one of the top starters) I got the 12th best runner (one of the worst starters). Same thing happened again at tackle, #2 in draft position, but #7 in overall ranking.Annoying.

I looked a RB looks to me like you got the 3rd ranked RB. In addition. I had the 2nd pick for tackle. You got the 3rd rank from what I see.[Edited on 4-23-2011 by Classics]

My team is memphis, not detroit. My RB is now ranked #15. Oh well.

Spike, You Drafted Ebersole which I see as the 3rd ranked RB. as far as the Tackle position WE had the 2nd pick. Are you looking at the Salary or the overall ranking

I'm looking at this page, which has him ranked #15. Its not salary, its "player skill rankings."I know he was the 3rd RB taken. I know I had the #3 position. I'm annoyed that I got the 15th best starting RB when I had the #3 pick.

I'm not in this league, but I figured I'd let you know that the Player Rankings Page is based on overall rating (such as A- or B+), and then it goes by alphabetical order...so you still probably got the #3 HB.

Well I can see that isn't the case just by looking at the page...unless "T" comes before "E" in the alphabet.

Spike I'm not sure what that chart is. I see what you mean. However, I don't believe that has anything to do with draft. The 2 catagories that you refer to. I drafted high. I knew what players I would get. On the chart you speak of they are not in the same position. at the Tackle position, I moved Spires up to the 2nd position for like 5th or 6th spot. He is #1 on chart you refer to. I have posted a question on message board. We'll find out.

Spike, Looks like the ranking you are looking at refers to performance. RB avg. yds. per carry.

Spike I stand corrected, If you look at the order. The 1st guy is ranked A the next guy is B+ but he only has 1 name, throws off the fact that the rest of the B+ rated RBs are in alphabetical order by the 1st names.

I should note here that for all my whining, Ebersole was among the league leaders in the major rushing categories, racking up over 1800 yards, 5.1 YPC and 12 scores. He had 183 yards in our first playoff game.
