Excuse me... where is this coming from! I resent bringing me into this post.

I assume you are frustrated when losing games. I read your other two posts and believe they were answered adequately.

Personal slams are uncalled for! If you have a legitimate complaint then bring it to me (or Tyson) via a u2u or posting in the Support forum. This league has proud tradition of owners being civil to each other.

In the meantime, serve as a better role model to your 5 year old.

This whole thing arose due to backups not being set for the catching position. Most leagues require that an owner carry two catchers on their major league roster. I do believe that every owner is in compliance with that rule. Were the trouble lies is in on occaision a non catcher is forced to start when one or both of the catchers is forced to rest. This can be mitigated somewhat by having proper backups set for both L & R handed pitching. My HGs are starting a rookie catcher who has C health. My 2nd catcher is OS 25 and A- rated OA with A+ health. He is first guy off the bench in every position except CF which is manned by a mentor. His backup replacement priority is #1 at catcher vs. both RHPs and LHPs. He has appeared in 13 of the 14 games played so far, starting in 8 of the games. At some point in the season I would imagine that both my rookie catcher and the backup catcher will both need to rest.

If i were to micromanage the team i might be able to prevent this from happening. A real live manager of a team would be able to do so. However, this is just a game and I am happy to just let things be as much as possible and am not prone to complain aqbout the few occaisions that non catchers start as I am sure that it will occur wioth my team as well.

Bottom line is that I have taqken the necxessary steps to ensure that non catchers start as seldom as possible while still getting good young players valuable PT.

I had some retirements in the offseason and have now adjusted my backup catcher situation accordingly ... my bad on letting that one go, but as you rebuild you kinda get on autopilot. However, the personal attack is certainly uncalled for. I have been in this league since its inception and have enjoyed my experience very much. Thank you Casey for making this league happen. It's too bad that it only takes one owner to mess up a positive experience.
